In Sangram, 2 players battle  by strategically placing cards on any of the three locations. A player needs to win 2 out of 3 locations for a victory. To win a location a player needs to have more impact at the location than the opponent. Here’s how the process works:

Match Setup: Once you are matched against an opponent, the battle begins. Initially 3 cards from your selected 12 cards team are allocated to you. A card is allocated every round. So, you will start with 3+ 1 = 4 cards in the 1st round.

Rounds: There are a total of 4 rounds in a battle. Each round Mana limit  increases by 2.

Locations: There are 3 locations in a battle. In the first round, the left-most location is revealed followed by the middle (in the second round) and then location to the right (in the third round). Locations for a battle are randomly allocated from a pool of locations with unique abilities. Each location’s unique ability  affects the gameplay.  For example a location Ganga  allows only even mana cards, so the player has to come up with a strategy with even mana cards to win that location. Mana is explained below

Mana: Mana is the cost of a card, higher mana cards are more effective in the battle.

Card Placement: Drag your cards to a location. You can only play cards within the mana limit of  the round. For example for round 3 which has a mana limit of 6  you could play one card with Mana 6 or multiple cards within the limit of 6.

Impact : The number on the top right of the card is Impact of a card, each card has an impact, and each location has an impact and in a battle. When a card is played at a location, the impact of the card gets added to the location impact, for the player. If the player has more impact at a location than the opponent at the end of 6 rounds the player wins that location.
